As we start a new year, I'm full of excitement for what's to come.
While on vacation for Christmas, my godmother's husband, Dennis, hooked up my camera to his Takahashi telescope. We took some deep field images of space and I wanted to share them.
This was my last photo session of 2013 and it was incredible. Being outside with the stars is an experience I wish to repeat. Thinking about life and the space dust we're made of is humbling and honestly, when I saw the images on my computer when tethered outside in the pitch black, I cried. The beauty of the universe is vast. I can't fully comprehend the immensity of the universe and our galaxy, but I can appreciate it and how precious our lives are. That there are trillions and trillions of stars, planets, objects in space, and we are here, on this lonely little rock, all sharing an experience, but so individual is truly amazing.
I hope you have a wonderful year. I'm excited for some new adventures.
