While we were driving down Highway 1 the morning of June 22nd, we saw that the coast was packed in with fog. I rolled my window down and took a huge breath... the smell of the salty air wafting from the ocean gives me a feeling of peace like nothing else in this world. I thought that this might mean an overcast day for Matt and Sara's wedding at Wave Street Studios in Monterey, California. But once we arrived at the venue, the fog had already burned off and it was a beautiful sunny and clear day. My husband Daniel was invited as a guest, but served as chauffeur to my Second Shooter, Elizabeth Mills, and I. He also ran around grabbing gear we had left in various places all day. Thank you, Sweetheart!
Elizabeth headed off to document Matt getting ready in their Marina home while I stayed with Sara and the girls. Elizabeth did a fantastic job especially for being on her own for the first time!
Matt and Sara are two unbelievably generous and good-hearted people. Sara is a teacher and Matt is an engineer at Hydro Source. My husband and I have known Matt for a long time. He went to middle school with us (even though I didn't know either of them in middle school!) and I had a Physics class with Matt in community college years ago. Matt and Sara are also dog lovers and have brought their pups Molly and Jake over to play with Dolly!
Matt and Sara - thank you so much for letting me be a part of your wedding day. It was incredible. I've never met such genuinely kind people, and Sara, you were the most relaxed bride I've ever been around! You made my job easy! : )
