I wanted to practice some food photography since my next batch of projects from education.com involve recipes. So I decided to bake some cookies to try to photograph. I used a favorite recipe I first made back in May, Lemon Sugar Tea Cookies. It's a basic sugar cookie recipe that you add lemon extract to instead of vanilla. The other recipe was a new one I decided to try, that was a chocolate chip cookie recipe with shredded coconut. They both came out delicious! And now my house smells like yummy cookies.
As far as the photography goes, I realized that I really need pocket wizards for my strobes. Using my on-camera flash to trigger my strobes gives an obnoxious harsh shadow on my images and the look of an obvious on-camera flash being used. I did the best I could correcting for it in photoshop, but there's not too much I can do about it.
I made some recipe cards if you'd like to try them. :)
