I got a new job on campus photographing the 6 annual shows at the Thompson Gallery in the art building at San Jose State. This is pretty exciting for me, I love the fine art world and getting to photograph the artwork in this gallery is a privilege.
Plus, it's something I can put on my resume that isn't cleaning up dog poop! HAHA!
The artist that was most recently in the Thompson Gallery was Miguel Palma. IN IMAGE WE TRUST is an installation and video projection. This work was commentary on American society, war, and our way of life.
It was a pretty amazing piece. The structure rotated while an arm held a camera pointed inward on the piece that projected on the opposite wall the images from this little world the artist created.
Here's some of the images I captured photographically.
